You Are Welcome At Courage To Change…

Recovery is far more than mere abstinence. Courage To Change began as a fait based 12-Step meeting in September, 2001, studying from the NIV Recovery Devotional Bible, printed by Zondervan, which contains daily meditations and life connections, as well as notations to show what Scriptures correlate to each step (following the 12 Steps of AA/NS).

Through our jail and prison ministries, we began ministering to families of addicts and incarcerated. In 2011, we became Courage To Change Church.

Our Beliefs

Courage To Change Church

The Bible
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired word of God, without error, and it is the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and lives.

The Trinity
We believe in one triune God: God the Father, Christ Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe Christ Jesus is the Son of God who came to earth as our Savoir from the bondage of sin and death.

Salvation
Salvation comes only through Jesus. We believe Jesus died on the cross becoming the blood sacrifice for our sins. We believe Jesus arose for the grave with the keys of death, hell, and the grave and is now at the right hand of the Father petitioning Him on our behalf. And that He will return to unite us with Him soon. We believe whoever believes in their heart and confesses with their mouth Jesus as Lord of their life will have forgiveness and the free gift of eternal life.

Water Baptism
We believe water baptism is a visual symbol of our dying to our old selves and being raised to newness of life in Jesus and is an act of obedience following the example of Christ.

Communion
We believe in the regular partaking of Communion as an act of remembering Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.

Relationship
We believe every believer should be actively growing in their relationship with Christ by reading and studying the WORD and putting it into action in their everyday life, obeying the direction of the Holy Spirit, consistent fellowship with other believers, and daily sharing how God is working in their lives. Communication is vital to a healthy relationship and we believe remaining in a constant attitude of prayer nurtures our relationship with God.
